Our Philosophy
Desert Youth Athletics Baseball believes that it is our
responsibility to provide the youth of the western
Coachella Valley with a fair, safe and fun place to learn the sports of
softball and baseball, sportsmanship and teamwork. It is important to us
that all children are provided with a place for a positive introduction
to sports that is free from negative experiences and pressure.
We strive to provide a place for social and physical development that
builds self-esteem and confidence. We believe that youth sports should
be a compliment to academic learning. Our players learn the importance
of playing by the rules in a respectful environment. Please join us in
developing positive kids for a positive Coachella Valley.
If you are interested in joining us by volunteering, donating funds and officiating games, please contact the League.

Sanctioning Body
Desert Youth Athletics Baseball is a registered PONY League. We register
our League as "an under" League which means younger players who excel
can play up in older divisions and advance at their pace and skill
level. Our age divisions are divided as follows
Rules of Play
Even though we are a PONY sanctioned League, our baseball division
plays under OBR (MLB). We then supplement the
rules by the PONY rule book and further supplement them by our local
rules of play.
Volunteer Screening
Desert Youth Athletics has been a pioneer in the requirement for
requiring screening and ID cards for our on field volunteers and Board
of Directors. You can quickly identify the access to your player by
checking the Photo ID card of your Coach. All adults with permission to
be on the field are required to display their ID card above the waste
and on their outside layer of clothing.
